The purpose of this reference
Missouri public-record rules can make a booking record accessible, but they do not mean that every photo or custody detail appears on a public web page. County booking information begins with the sheriff and the historical MCDC booking system. A public court case may then appear through Missouri Case.net, while a person sentenced to state custody is handled through the Missouri Department of Corrections. We organize those distinct official paths so visitors can tell a county booking from court activity or state custody. We do not host booking photos, arrest lists, or court files.
What the site brings together
The focus is practical source identification, not republishing official material. The main record-navigation information includes:
- the county-wide booking, custody, record-request, and court follow-up routes summarized on the Home page;
- the difference between a Mississippi County arrest, historical MCDC booking, temporary Scott County custody, and Missouri DOC custody;
- official city, state, federal, and immigration locator paths where their separate custody systems may apply; and
- the county’s documented lack of a verified public roster or regular official booking feed, so a web no-result is not treated as a custody answer.
The limits of our role
This service is privately operated. It is not part of the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office, the Mississippi County Detention Center, the Missouri Department of Corrections, any Missouri court, or another government agency. We cannot release or hold a detainee, post bond, arrange a visit, send funds, provide legal advice, or certify a charge, a release, or a custody status.
Only the office that holds the current record can give an official answer about custody, a booking entry, a charge, or a release. An arrest or booking remains an accusation, and each person is presumed innocent unless a court proves otherwise.
